What is all the Hype Concerning Wood Therapy Body Contouring?

I wrote a blog on my familiarity with wood therapy body contouring, and I STILL get questions almost every day concerning it! I find that wood therapy isn’t excellent “mainstream”, so there are still many mysteries about what it is, how it works, and whether or not it’s effective.

So, I reflect it is a good idea to answer the top 10 questions that I get asked about wood therapy body contouring for you guys! Please keep in mind that I’m no expert, so if you’re considering starting wood therapy for yourself, it’s best to ask the professionals first!

What is Wood Therapy?

In short, wood therapy uses some different wooden massage-like tools to help break down fat and cellulite. The wooden instruments apply direct pressure to “problem areas” and naturally eliminate excess body fat. The wood therapy we know today is based on an ancient Oriental wood manipulation dating back hundreds of years!

Wood Therapy and Remains Contouring the Same Thing?

Not Ware, technically. Two different types of treatments have the same goals. It  helps to split down your body fat, while body contouring helps to constrict your skin and improve elasticity. There is a wide selection of different body contouring therapies, some more surgical than others, but that’s a separate blog post, my friends!

Does Wood Therapy Work

It is challenging because everyone’s body responds differently to specific therapies. There are also extra factors like age, weight, and treatment frequency. But for me, I found it together super relaxing and helpful! I would usually go once a week after working out with my trainer because it helped loosen my tight muscles and helping to rid my body of toxins.

What are the Benefits of Wood Therapy?

There are many benefits to getting wood therapy, so I made it a regular part of my workout and self-care routine. In addition to individual super relaxing and stress-relieving, wood therapy can help with:

  • Loosening tight muscles
  • Breaking down cellulite and burning fat
  • Naturally eliminating toxins in your body
  • Speeding up your metabolism
  • Stimulating blood circulation and lymphatic drainage

Is Wood Therapy Safe?

Since wood therapy is a 100 per cent natural, non-invasive holistic massage treatment, it is usually considered safe. However, as I mention, you should always consult your doctor or massage therapist before beginning any new medicines to be sure that this treatment is proper for you!

What Does Wood Therapy Feel?

I used to laugh as I would think about it, like Chase running his toy trucks on my body, only a little more relaxing and with lovely smelling candles and spa music! I experienced discomfort during my first few sessions because it was a new feeling for my body. Also, you must work with your massage therapist to figure out the appropriate amount of pressure to apply (like a regular massage too).

But after a while, I felt so relaxed during and after my session. This usual way of implementing repetitive movements with wooden tools to manipulate the obstinate areas of fat is surprisingly pleasing.

One of the strangest experiences is the feeling of the Vacuum Swiss Cup that they use to suction fat from areas of your body and transfer it to the lymph nodes, helping you to tone and reduce cellulite. It feels like someone is trying to give you a giant hickey!

Does Wood Therapy Hurt?

I’m not going to lie. When I initially saw some of the wooden instruments they use, I thought they looked like something instantly out of Christian Grey’s playroom, haha! But after reacting to them on my body, I promise they’re not that bad!

As for the rub itself, the first few sessions I had were a bit sore because I had more cellulite around the back of my legs and bum, which required a lot of force to work out. But after leaving for a few weeks, I noticed that it became more relaxing and pleasant and felt more like your average spa massage.

How extensive Does it Take to See Results?

It is another tricky one because it depends on how often you’re willing to go. But typically, you can see a slight difference right after your first treatment. But most people really start seeing the effects of their third and fifth treatments.

Conclusion:

Wood therapy is most efficient as an ongoing treatment, like regular massage. The more frequent you are with it, the more obvious and longer-lasting the effects will be. However, the results you experience will usually stick around for about three months after your last great session. So don’t worry if you miss a gathering or two; your progress won’t remain lost.
